Location:  
"Villa Papyrus" is located near the main road between the police check point in New Qurna and the Colossi of Memnon. Just behind the "Nefertari Papyrus Institute" turn left into the small street. After about 100 metres you find access to the "Villa Papyrus" by the small bridge crossing a little canal. You also can reach the property directly from the main road, very easy when driving by taxi or service car: stop at "Queens Papyrus" and follow the sand alley. At the gate left hand ask someone of the Egyptian family for the English ladies Denise or Tracy who are living most of the year in the villa (see number 5 in our map of the West Bank).

All kind of your daily needs you find in the shops of the villages New Qurna or El Gezira to be approached by feet, bike, taxi or service car. In the village El Gezira you a lot of amenities like different restaurants, hotels, riding stables with horses, camels and donkeys as well as the public ferry to cross the river Nile to the city of Luxor with its temples, museums and bazars.

The offer:
"Villa Papyrus" offers two furnished twin rooms (one with double bed, one with two single beds) based on bed & breakfast. For guests of the villa of course the reception/sitting area, the bathroom with shower/bathtub as well as the furnished courtyard and terraces, the garden and the roof terrace (not completely finished yet) are there for their use. On request they can also use the kitchen with washing machine, frige and freezer.

The enclosure wall guarantees complete privacy of the garden with its flowers, bushes and fruit trees like orange, lemon, mango, pomme granate. From the roof you can enjoy an amazing view to the Theban mountains and the surrounding green fields and palm trees (photo bottom).

On request and arrangement also the whole flat including the third twin room with a double bed is available.

Prices/Extras/Terms of Payment:
Twin rooms 10 English Pounds per person/night, for one week (sleeps 6) 55 English Pounds per person including breakfast
Whole flat for one week (sleeps 6) start from 75 English Pounds in the low season and from 100 English Pounds in the high season. Nightly rates on request.

All to be paid in English Pounds on arrival.

On request shuttle service from to Luxor Airport can be arranged (extra fee).

For 10 LE (Egyptian Pounds) per day Tracy and Denise rent their bikes to you..

Also evening meal can be arranged at a 25 LE per night per person.
