Location: At the edge of the desert behind the ticket office in the village Habu City. Follow the sandy track at the ticket office direction Medinet Habu Temple. After about 200 metres you find the hotel on your left hand side hidden behind trees. Category: No stars. In 1984 opened by late Hassan Mohamed

Clean house with one indoor and one outdoor restaurant (max. 65/100 guests),
large garden terrace with a lot of greenery, special lightened reading
corners and a billard table. The sun beds at the spacious roof terrace
invite you not only for a sun bath, but also a magnificant view up to
the mountains, to the Habu Temple and over the agricultural land to the
Colossi of Memnon. During the excavation season in the winter months the
hotel frequently is booked by international archaeologists. Therefore
it also is called by the ancient name Per Äao (big house)
from which the word pharaoh was adapted.
Service: Booking based on bed and breakfast, half or full board on request. 24 hour room service. To ride to the hotel: Take a Service Taxi or a private one near the public ferry in El Gezira (stopp at the ticket office), on request the hotel can order regular taxis for you. The hotel also offers you ticket service for the archaeological sites, arrangements of any kind of trips, booking of domestic flights, confirmation of return flights for hotel guests. Food & Beverage: For breakfast Nescafe, tea, fresh juices, several jams, Egyptian cheese, eggs, omelettes, salads and Egyptian bread will be served. For lunch and dinner the guests find different Egyption and international dishes. Soups (8 LE), salads ( 5 LE), main courses with chicken, beef, lamb, Steaks and Veal, sometimes fish (25 - 40 LE), side dishes (8 LE), omelettes (8 - 15 LE), desserts (7 LE). All kind of soft drinks, different fresh prepared fruit juices (5 - 7 LE), milk shakes (8 LE), coffee and tea (4 LE), coffee/tea and cake (10 LE), local beer (12 - 15 LE) and wine (90 - 120 LE). Please notice that alcoholic drinks will not be served during the holy month of Ramadan. Vegetarian menues available. Staff and languages: Owner and Manager Refat Hassan, who speeks fluent English, French, a bit Italian, runs the hotel with eleven employees. The service staff speeks English, a bit French and Italian. Another contact person guests find in the retired Italian Egyptologist Alessandra Pidutti. She spends again and again longer periods all over the year in the "Pharaohs Hotel", meanwhile something like her second home. Prices: Double room with private bath room LE 60 - 120, with shared bathroom LE 40 (B/B). Special conditions for groups or companies on request. All prices are per night and room incl. all taxes and stamps. Taxi shuttle from the airport, railway station or from the public ferry can be oranized for local rates (from the airport over the bridge LE 50, from Luxor by ferry LE 25.
