If you cross the Nile from Luxor city to the West Bank by public ferry or motorboat, one building certainly catches your eye: the building with the friendly orange painted facade and white colored windows, crowned by a roof terrace.
It is the "Nile Valley Hotel and Restaurant" that draws you by its exterior. Even before you enter you gain the impression of comfort and coziness.

Why is this? Without doubt because of the owners and managers Hamada and Karin Khalifa, who have many years' experience in the tourism business..
With the "Nile Valley Hotel and Restaurant" the couple have made their dream come true. Together they have created a special place, where dreams can also come true for others. Between flowers and bushes, a smartly tiled entrance leads you inside. A staircase leads you to the roof-terrace, which is the center of the hotel.

From the top of the building you can enjoy a panoramic, breathtaking view. On one side the Nile, with Luxor City and Luxor Temple. This is particularly striking at night when the East Bank is shimmering with its illuminations, and guests, who are sitting at tables or on typical Egyptian benches with a Sheesha (water pipe) and coffee, will become dreamers and seem to lose themselves somewhere between the past and present.

On the other side there is agricultural land where you can observe the farmers working, whilst opposite, you can see the crowds from the ferryboat as it comes or goes.

The swimming pool was one of the things Hamada and Karin dreamt about. It was finished in the summer of 2007.
It is 14.5 meters long and 4.5 meters wide with several depths a Jacuzzi and kids pool.
The pool bar and the 4 seats give you the chance to feel luxury pure, enjoying your cold beer or nice cocktail while sitting in the swimming pool. Off course there are sun beds and sunscreens.

Guests call in daily for a snack, lunch or dinner and in addition tour leaders like to bring their groups here for meals

Single beds or a double bed are available on request, as a baby bed . The budget room is the same size as the standard room. They have their own bathroom with bath and WC, which are however adjacent to the rooms. Each "budget" room is equipped with an air conditioning system, TV(Sat-programs) and two rooms with a refrigerator. These rooms you find on the first floor of the hotel. The apartment has 1 bedroom with 2 beds, television and air conditioning, bathroom with bath and toilet, sitting area with big window to the garden and swimming pool, television and extra bed/coach, open kitchen area with refrigerator, cooking device, water cooker etc.

The restaurant offers typical Egyptian meals like shish kebab and kebab hala, grilled or stuffed pigeons, steak, mixed grill and a daily set menu with three courses according to the fresh produce offered by the local market. All meals are served with pommes carrees, French fries or mixed
vegetables.

In addition there are pizza and spaghetti, moussaka with meat or vegetarian, complete vegetarian dishes, Egyptian salads or soups (vegetable, tomato, onion, lentil, chicken, noodle or vermicelli).

Hotel guests get a continental breakfast, or an Oriental one if preferred.

Groups are offered a good selection of dishes in the lunch and dinner buffets. We can arrange anything: diabetic or vegetarian meals and special menus for groups or parties on the terrace.

Nile Valley can organize trips, travel guides, and boat trips in its own
motor boat.We also arrange the collection/transfer of guests to and
from the airport or Luxor train station so that your arrival at the hotel is without worry

Air conditioned Café-restaurant.
Here you can enjoy freshly grilled dishes prepared on the
charcoal grill in the garden by our chef.
In summer time it gives you the possibility to have a coffee or a meal in an air conditioned room, in winter time it gives you the chance to run from the cold on the chilly evenings.
It is possible to order from “the Grill room” menu on the terrace of the swimming pool.

Location:
In the village El Bairat El Gezira, at the beginning of the main road (dead end street) about 80 m from the bank of the Nile, two minutes walk to reach the public ferry.

Rooms:
Twenty-one rooms - four triple, thirteen double, four single. Everything equipped with privat shower/ WC, air conditioning, TV equipment (sowing receipt), refrigerator and cover fan. Cradle on inquires .

Service:
Booking based on bed and breakfast, halfboard on request. Laundry washing and ironing service available. On request shuttle service to Luxor city or Karnak by the hotel-owned motorboat.
Pickup-up service from the trainstation or Luxor Airport. .

Restaurants:
Roof terrace with restaurant and bar with Nile view, view to the Luxor temple and the green agricultural aerea (up to 90 persons), A baby chair is available on request.

Food and Beverages:
International and oriental dishes a la carte, Pizza. Always prepared on the spot: the menu of the day, open buffet (cold or warm) on request. Once the week is offered on the roof terrace maintenance a program with eastern live-music, dance and Buffet .For diabetics or vegetariansspecial meals can be prepared on request. All kind of soft drinks including the speciality of the house "Chocmoc", local beer and wine all around the year. Prices: Menu of the day LE 55,-. Main courses served with rice or French fries (chips) from LE 20 to 60.
Opening hours: 9 a.m. till 11.30 p.m. (restaurant, bar open longer as needed).

Entertainment:
On request organization of trips by camel, donkey, bicycle, horse or boats.

Special Offers:
We can arrange for you a private birthday, wedding or
jubilee party with entertainment including oriental live music and dancing, and also group lunch and dinner parties with special menus and entertainment, as long as you request these on booking.

Staff and languages:
Dutch-Egyptian Management. Karin and Hamada Khalifa are talking English, French, German and Dutch. The trained friendly-attentive staff speaks English.
