Hotel "El Nakhil"

Location:

Secluded on the edge of the village, and only a five minute walk from the public ferry which connects the West bank to the East bank of Luxor. The hotel is on the West bank which contains the tombs of the Pharaohs and Queens, and Temples, and the East bank has shops, bazaars, and the bustle of Egyptian tourism and commerce.
From the Nile on the West bank you take the main street to the village mosque, then turn left and follow the road along until the end where you will see signs for the El Nakhil Hotel. The hotel entrance has a beautiful gate.

Hotel and rooms:

The El Nakhil has been built in an Islamic style characteristic of Upper Egypt. The hotel consists of 17 rooms, which are single, double and triple. We also have two family areas that are rooms with connecting doors. Some of the rooms have domes, and all rooms are en-suite. The hotel rooms meet high International standards with balconies, air conditioning, and some rooms carter for guests who are less physically able with ramps and wheelchair access to the garden.

The hotel perimeter is horse-shoe shaped and the rooms surround a botanical garden which enables guests to relax in a serene and safe environment, with the sounds of the birds and village animals in the background.

The large roof terrace and restaurant provides an expansive and beautiful view of the Nile, Luxor temple and a combination of palm trees and sugar cane fields.

El Nakhil Restaurant:

The breakfast has an extensive choice of menus – which includes egg menus, bread, cheeses, honey, preserves, yoghurt, fresh juices of the season, coffee and tea.
Traditional Egyptian breakfast can also be provided. It consists of beans and falafel.
During the day, snacks are available.
We also provide International and local “à la Carte” meals are freshly cooked.
Special dietary needs are catered for i.e. diabetic and vegetarian.
Individual menus can be prepared on request.

Additional to non-alcoholic refreshments and beverages we also offer Egyptian beer and wines. Spirits are available on request.

The spacious roof terrace provides seating for groups up to 150 persons.

Room rates:

• Bookings are based upon bed and breakfast, full and half boards can be booked if required
• An additional supplement will be charged at Christmas, New Year and the Easter holidays
• Credit card and cheques are unable to be accepted. Payment in cash is required.
