Location: The hotel was built in the village of El Gezira near the banks of the Nile sourrounded by farmland. Follow a signposted way from the ferry along the Nile. After some 400 metres the first alley to the right, at the end (about 70 metres) on the left hand you find the white buildings of the "Gezira Gardens" built up on an area of some 2,950 sqm.

Resort: It was established as the first hotel on the West Bank offering apartments on 20th of December 2001. Since 12th of December 2002 there is an additional second wing open with 14 hotel rooms and on 25th of June 2004 the first guest could jump into the new swimming pool.
Apartment hotel : In the two storey building there are eight suites (approx. 70 sqm each) for up to four persons. Each apartment has two bedrooms (one with a double bed - picture below left -, one with two single beds, one more bed for a child on request), a kitchen with dining area (picture right), shower/WC and a terrace (ground floor) or a balcony. The guests of each two apartments can privatly use a large roof garden overlooking the Nile, the wide and green famland and the mountains of the West Bank (picture below right). All suites with air condition and practically equipped with light wooden furniture. The kitchen is completed with refrigerator, gas oven and all kitchen things guests will need for self catering. Apartments in the ground floor are suitable for handicapped. All suites equipped with telephone and TV.
Hotel: The 14 double rooms (extra cot available) are about 12 sqm wide (picture below right). All rooms with balcony, some offer a look over the farmland, others to the life in the hotel. Bathrooms are 4 sqm wide, equipped with bath tub, shower, WC, mirrored bathroom cabinet, plugs for hair drier and electric shavers. Each room with air condition, telephone, TV. Lobby at the entrance of the complex.
Restaurants: In the hotel "Gezira Gardens“ four restaurants invite you for culinary delights. Over day or on mild evenings in spring, summer and autumn the garden (60 seats) is the ideal place for a cosy get-together. From the roof terrace (about 200 seats) you can overlook the Nile and the Luxor temple on the East Bank. The bar and and barbecue corner is the right place for a snack or sandwich but also for dinner. A little bit more cosy atmosphere is waiting in the bar and pizzeria "El Kasr" (50 seats, open 24 hours). Classy furnished is the main restaurant. All restaurants offer the same menues.
Food: Two chefs with experience in hotels of the five- and four-star category create the culinary dishes for the guests. According to the principle: With us everything is possible. This starts even with breakfast. After a buffet with European and Egyptian dishes you feel fine for a day of adventures. Eggs, prepared in several ways, ham, foul or felafel, cheese or jam, tomatoes and other vergetables and much more is waiting - choose what you like. after a day of sightseeing for dinner you will also find Egyptian-European delights on the menu. There are the tempting traditional dishes like pigeon, duck, meat, kofta or fish from the Red Sea cooked slowly in the Tagen (earthenware casserole). Typical Egyptian food. But if somebody prefers European style, there are the pizze - baked in a special oven. Choose what you like - Hawaii, Neapolitan or vegetarian style - in the "Gezira Gardens" everything is possible. Like also a real steak up to 250 grams served with pepper or mushroom sauce. Special dishes for diabetics on request. All vegetables and the meat was grown in the nearer neighbourhood, all the time fresh and hygienical stored in a cold room.
Beverages: Thirst-quenching are of course fresh juices, tea, coffee, the traditional karkade or soft drinks. Who is craving more for an alcoholic drink, he/she will find local beers and wines but can also enjoy a whisky, a Campari or one of the cocktails. Or your mind on a special day is for a special drink? Order simply a bottle of champagne (starting with LE 300) - everything is possible. Happy hour with discount on drinks daily from 6.30 to 7.30 am.
Entertainment: Swimming pool (pictures below) and pool billard (free of charge for hotel guests), darts.
Special offers: Breakfast on the Nile by sailing with a motorboat, organization of trips by car, bicycle, camel, horse or donkey (you can order it the same day). Banquets at breakfast, lunch or dinner time for groups. Catering service for your private party outside the hotel on request.
Service: "Washeteria" equipped with automatic washing machines and ironing boards in a separate room. 24-hours room-service for both, the hotel rooms and the apartments. Shuttle Service from/to the airport or railway station. Shuttle service with the hotel-owned motorboat to Luxor (East Bank) every hour from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., computer connected to the internet.
Staff: 27 friendly Egyptian workers who pay attention are ready for you to make your holidays comfortable. Their first foreign language is English. Owner Gamal Mahmoud also speaks fluently German and French.
Prices: An apartment costs € 50 per night (all the year, for one or four persons the same). Hotel: Double room € 30 (all around the year), single room € 20 (all around the year) per night including breakfast (with half-board 40 respectively 25 €). If you book a room or apartment over Christmas or New Year eve, you have to take part in the gala dinner on 24th of December or 31st of December. All prices including taxes and service charges. Payment will be accepted cash in Euro, Pound Sterling, US-Dollar, Egypt Pound. The swimming pool welcomes also non-residents for a fee of 15 LE per day.
